This is the building in McKinley Park just 2 short blocks from the Stevenson Exressway and about 5 minutes from Bridgeport.  The loop is also just a few minutes away.  The apartment is on the upper right top floor ( we call it the "penthouse") with new bay windows and the view looking out is below.  The loft apartment is half of the building on the top floor of this double city lot.
(Upper right) As you come up the private staircase in your new apartment you enter the apartment through the new glass French doors going into the loft with the new oak floor and new radiant wall heater.   There is lots of natural exposed brick with color tinted tuckpointing.

(Middle right)  The 13 inch art deco neon lamp comes with the apartment as our housewarming gift.  The door on the right is the front bedroom and there are new thermal pane windows and vertical blinds. The modern ceiling is angled with track lighting and recessed lights.

Below is North toward the loop. Notice the bedroom divider walls which can be used as a shelf to display plants or hobbies.

Track lighting on the right and below is the kitchen area looking into the living area. .
Left is the new cozy bathroom vanity, lights, floor tile, and shower.

Below is one of the cozy bedrooms. The smaller size bedrooms will easily accommodate a single bed or perhaps you could squeeze a queen size bed in. Each bedroom has brand new custom charcoal carpet, new mini blinds, new windows, and a closet..

The Chicago neighborhood of McKinley Park is home to many families and has a large residential area, populated primarily by flats, some newer townhouses, but also showcasing the occasional century-old home. Community pride has kept even the oldest properties in good condition and pleasing to the eye. Considered by some to be a well kept secret with a great deal of development potential, property values continue to be very reasonable based on location and the individual property.

McKinley Park hinges around its 69-acre namesake, which features, among other things, a swimming pool and an outdoor ice-skating rink in the winter months. The park is also the site of many city-sponsored events throughout the year. Over the years the park has undergone a multimillion dollar renovation, including a lovely lagoon.

The majority of shops in the neighborhood sit along 35th street or Archer, as well as the Riverside Square shopping center at Ashland and Archer.

McKinley Park's residents can trace their roots to all quarters of the globe, and there are several food-based street festivals each year to celebrate this diversity and to bring the different ethnicities together through fun, food and music.

McKinley Park is located between Western and Ashland Avenues on Chicago's southwest side. The CTA's orange line runs through with stops at Ashland and 35th and I-55 runs through its northern edge.

Read about the great neighborhood of McKinley Park at the bottom of this page.
Walk outside your back door (above in kitchen shot) and you exit to the brand new back porch (below) which over looks McKinley Park and if you look to the North (left) you can see some buildings in the downtown loop.
If you look down from your top floor back porch in the summertime, the other tenants in the building set up wading pools for hot summer fun in the big "double lot" back yard. The neighbors are friendly and often have building barbeques.
Century old classic brick building with bay windows.
Notice the extremely easy parking in front of the building and the brand new construction all the way on the right only 1 house away in this up and coming neighborhood.
